Hindsvik {Canada} - Industiral Vintage: from scrap metal to home treasure

Monday, April 11, 2011

I heart vintage very much, especially if it had a sentimental value. My dad gave me vintage analog phone orange color that I still use it and I am waiting for my mom to come on July to Malaysia to give me her 1970s beauty case that she want to throw away... oh no.... I better save it.

I enjoyed flea market of course, I bought things that I think is nice and eye catching, nothing specific. But I like to collect retro glassware, I have view set of them . I also collect few vintage globes with several sizes, vintage luggage and cute tins, and I am continue searching for my shopping pleasure.

I never think to collect industrial vintage goods before, I just do not feel comfortable to have scrap metal or woods at my house. But lately when I did my browsing and found nice pictures of vintage metal/woods industrial, I am thinking 'why not to have few'. Well I don't intent to make my house become a junk yard, but having few won't hurt too right? How about you, vintage lover? do you consider these medium is worth to have?

I browse at Etsy for vintage industrial goods and I found a seller from Canada called Hindsvik that in my opinion they have niche collection of industrial vintage goods yet very functional.

Here is my eye picked items that I would consider to have to add sentimental value at my home.

{table with wood top and metal leg, great to display things at your home}

{wooden crate convert to book shelf}

{metal hook shelf convert to wine rack}

{wooden wire roll convert to coffee table}

{metal locker, great for home office or study room}

{iron clamp, brilliant idea to display oldies picture frame}
